Like many in the judgment enforcement business, Black Widow Financial was created as a result of my personal experience and frustration in trying to collect from a deadbeat debtor who thought they were too smart to have to pay. Following the case took years of following the debtor from state to state, with his concealed addresses and numerous PO boxes, dealing with fraudulent transfers, shell (alter ego) corporations, and retaliatory lawsuits. I have experienced firsthand what it’s like trying to collect from someone who simply doesn’t want to pay, and who will do everything in their power to evade justice.
Yet, from this experience came the realization that I truly enjoy this blend of investigative work and required legal acumen. (Maybe it’s hereditary; my late father was an attorney.) I believe in what I do, and hope to be able to help you, too, if you find yourself being taken advantage of.
The name “Black Widow Financial” was chosen partly for its humor and memorability, and partly because the deadly spider metaphor represents the patience coupled with the sudden, financially-withering action sometimes needed with an elusive judgment debtor.
I am committed to running a completely ethical business, and scrupulously follow the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the California Rosenthal Act, and the Code of Ethics of the National Judgment Network.
